pet peeves

Okay, there are a few things in life that the general population does that drives me insane.  Maybe it is my current high stress life but I feel like the residents of Indianapolis have multiplied their use of these pet peeves by 500,000,000.  So here they are:

1)  "Anyways" is not a word.  It never has been and it never will be.  Unless Merriam-Webster does something stupid like decided to give the either/or option because people have misused the word for so long it becomes "acceptable".   Hello sherbet and Hello sherbert -- you have been created equal by Webster dictionary.  (Sherbert will always be wrong in my heart.)

2) Lateness.   I was raised with the mentality that "Early is on time, On time is late, and Late is DEAD".  I do not fit into this world of meeting at 5-ish. Or meeting at 7:00 which actually means 7:30.  I wish people would respect me and my time and stop making me wait around because they were raised to be "fashionably late".

3) I mow.  My yard looks pretty. I feel like I am set for a week--but NOOOOOO my grass wants to be mowed every 5 days.  What a WHORE  (yes my yard is a resident of Indianapolis and it is a girl)!

4) If you are merging right and kind enough to turn on your turnsignal to indicate this to me, please be kind enough to turn said turnsignal off once you have completed your merge. If you don't, I am constantly worried that you will be turning right at ANY MOMENT.

5)  Stop interrupting me!  I mean it.  When I speak, I want to be heard.  I may talk way too much, but kindly wait your turn until I am done.  I will listen to you while you talk way too much.

I think that is it. :)

Good post...I'm sometimes guilty of being late, but I'm usually pretty good at telling people i'm going to be late. I can't stand when people are late and don't tell me. I also have quite a few grammatical pet peeves...my current leader is people misspelling ridiculous. It's spelled with an i not an e. Now, the shortened version of this word can be spelled re-dick or some similar version of this because.
